Decaling Dishwashing Machines: Switch off electronic dispensing equipment. Drain machine, refill and allow water to heat to 60 C. Add Descaler at a rate of 10ml per litre to the wash tank. In continuous washers Descaler should also be added to the wash and power rinse tanks.
Start machine and allow operating for 10 minutes. Stop machine and observe results. In the case of heavily scaled or soiled machines, a long handled nylon brush may be used to loosen heavy deposits. Restart machine and allow to operate for a further 5 minutes.
Drain and rinse machine. Refill machine and switch on electronic dispensing units and commence normal operations.
Glass and Plastic: Rinse all articles under running water and drain. Dilute Descaler at a rate of 50ml per litre of hot water (50 – 60 C). Allow to soak for 15 minutes. Heavily soiled utensils may require stronger solutions and longer soak times.
